JCH Welcomes Leah Hawk as Emergency Department Director

JCH recently hired Leah Hawk as the new Emergency Department Director.

Leah began her career as a nurse 8 years ago at Passavant Area Hospital in the Emergency Department.  In 2013, Leah expanded her nursing experience as a fight nurse for Air Evac Lifeteam in Jacksonville.  In order to further her education, Leah obtained her credentials as a Certified Emergency Nurse last year.  She plans to still further her education as she works towards a Master’s Degree in the Fall of 2017.

Leah presently resides in Roodhouse with her husband, Rob, and their sons, Bennett (6) and Adler (4).  Additionally, Leah’s family includes 3 dogs, one of which is Rob’s K9 partner, Neko.  Together, they work for the Green County Sheriff’s Office in Carrollton.  When she is not working, Leah enjoys reading and playing checkers with her sons.  Although their life is loud and at times chaotic, Leah enjoys the fun and fast pace.  “I have been given a very warm welcome from everyone here at JCH and I look forward to many years with this organization” stated Leah.
