JCH Brings Local Talent to the Organization

Jersey Community Hospital (JCH) is excited to announce that Beth King and Michelle Lyons have accepted roles in the Fiscal Department. King has been named Chief Financial Officer and Lyons has been named Controller.

King has over 15 years of financial and audit reporting experience. She has worked with different industries including healthcare, insurance and not-for-profit. A Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, she was previously employed at Stone Carlie & Company in Clayton as a Principal. King received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. A resident of Jerseyville with her husband and two daughters, King volunteers in the local school district and is active in her church.

Lyons attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has worked at Logan University and MacMurray College over the last 15 years in the accounting and financial affairs departments. Before joining JCH this year, Lyons worked as an independent contractor at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School in St. Louis, Mo. She stays very busy taking care of her three daughters, along with volunteering for various organizations including Jerseyville United Methodist Church, Whiz Kidz 4-H Club, Jerseyville Public Library Board, United Methodist Church Sonshine Kids Daycare and Learning Center Board. Lyons is also a member of the Dr. Silas Hamilton Chapter of D.A.R. and P.E.O. Chapter GB.

“I’m pleased to find this level of talent and experience right here in Jerseyville,” stated Jon Wade, CEO of JCH. “Michelle is highly experienced as a Controller and has a good working knowledge with other public agencies, and Beth is widely known for her expertise in healthcare accounting with a proven track record of performance. Both have excellent critical thinking skills and a strong loyalty to Jerseyville and JCH.” King and Lyons are both hometown girls who graduated from Jersey Community High School. Both of their mothers were teachers in the district and taught business and accounting classes for many years.
